The Fame
Game! In 1997 we would see some serious fun. 8 gigs including one
of our favorites to date, playing at the legendary San Francisco club The
Fillmore. The venue is so special to us that we decide to bring a few ADAT
decks and record the gig in digital 32-track -- resulting in the band's second
album, the CD The Raving Daves: Live at the Fillmore -- 5,000
copies manufactured in a limited edition and given to all PeopleSoft employees
for their 1997 company holiday present. Just playing at the club put us out of
our mind with giddiness. Thanks to Giles and Roger McNamee, a couple of
VC rockers, who invited us to the gig! Another of our favorite gigs was the
blast at Universal Studios in Florida at the User Conference.
In 1997 we flesh out
our percussion with Dan Fink, our only-ever union musician (token?).
